主要用于剃须前用和剃须后用乳液的润滑和润湿剂,洗面奶中用作温和皮肤清洁剂,浴油中用作乳化剂和润滑剂,可自发悬浮于水中呈奶白色乳液,也用作香波的调理剂,含醇喷发胶的增塑剂。因它在常温下为液体,乳化温度可降低,适于制备含有营养成分和活性物的膏霜和乳液。
