制备方法


如将铁与碘直接反应,则应防止被空气氧化。简单的制法是,在瓷罐中将粗铁粉与过量的碘加热至红热状态即可,不过,碘化铁也同时生成。若采用溴化铁的合成装置也较方便,此时用普通的封闭管便可制备,即往一端封闭的反应管的闭端装入过量铁丝,然后把管横放,将碘置于开口处附近,中间用脱水的石棉将其隔开。随后将开口拉细与真空泵连接,俟排气后即行封闭。加热装有铁丝部分至500℃,碘的部分至180℃,此时碘的蒸气压可达1.13×105Pa,反应慢慢地进行。当碘蒸气的颜色完全消失之后,将封管冷却。最后在充氮干燥箱中切开反应管,取出目标产物。
